I am not sure if I can trust freecreditreport.com with their scoring system. I was at the bank just last september 2008 and received a printout of my credit score between 680 and 700. I went onto freecreditreport.com today and did a soft check and they show my score to be between 580 and 600. How in the world did my credit supposedly drop if I have not had any late payments, no delinquent reports, and have been making all payments on time. Nothing has changed since september, except that I had stopped using my credit card now for over a year, and have been paying it off. Is this site a scam? It doesn't seem detailed enough. What gives?
Hm, it says in their terms:
"ConsumerInfo is not responsible for the accuracy or contents of your credit file, including but not limited to information delivered in the credit report and/or score products."
interesting..
